Valley Garden Club Annual Plant Sale
5/26/2018 - 9AM
Valley Garden Club
Boys & Girls Club of Wasilla
3700 E Bogard Rd. Wasilla
FREE Admission

Our Annual Valley Garden Club Plant Sale is held the last Saturday in May at the Boys and Girls Club of Wasilla on 3700 E. Bogard Rd. The public is welcome to shop 9am to 3pm. Troopers have asked that there be no parking on Bogard Road.

Our gracious neighbors to the east have opened their parking lots to us during this event timeframe. Thank you to Firedance Academy, 2070 N. Merciful Circle, Wasilla; Church of Christ, 2061 Bogard Rd. Wasilla and Boys and Girls Club of Wasilla, 3700 E. Bogard Rd. Parking lot will have one-way traffic - enter from the west (Seward Meridian side), exit to the east. We will have a plant holding zone set up outside at the east end of the parking lot for paid plant purchases. This will help folks who park next door and walk to Boys and Girls Club.

Customers check plants in, get a card with a number corresponding to their plants, go off to fetch their vehicle, drive SLOWLY through the one-way parking lot to the holding zone and volunteers will load up your order. This should prove much safer than crossing Bogard loaded down with plants!

The whole gym fills up with annual plants. The entire east wall is tomatoes. The west side is houseplants. The back of the gym is veggies and herbs. The interior of the gym is an array of annual bedding plants from borders to central attraction pieces, we have literally thousands to choose from! The back patio is full of perennials. Outdoors, the east end of the building displays currants: red, white and black, raspberries, lilacs, roses and other shrubbery. There is a gently-used tool section. Amazing deals on hardware, fencing, weed cloth, pots and trays and garden decor show up here. We have flowers, trees, perennials and veggies. If you haven't seen the back patio, you have missed half the sale!

We will have one express lane inside this year for customers with 7 or fewer plant purchases. Outdoors, three cashier lanes will be set up. One lane will accept cash or card; the other two cash or check. Volunteers will remove the yellow plastic ID marker and get your tags organized for the cashier. Many volunteers are on-hand to help you find just the right plants for your project. Just ask!
