Monday Market at Palmer Depot has exquisite beading by RGR artistically and finely handcrafted beading by self-taught Rosemary Rogers. A lifelong journey and needlework career for Rosemary began at age 12. Although she originally spent years creating beautiful cross stitching, Rosemary discovered a love of beading. She found that seed beading was her favorite. Rosemary's friends and co-workers also began requesting her to make items for them.

After a trip to Black Elk Leather in Anchorage some 15 years ago, lots of internet google searches, and after retiring from 25 years in dental offices, Rosemary has become a very accomplished beading artist. She now not only follows patterns, but often makes her own adaptations to patterns. Rosemary says her favorite designs include puffins and flowers. She says, “They are special and bring the most joy to make, are happy images.” Rosemary says she “especially enjoys colorful projects and teaching her crafts to her granddaughters”. She now makes a large variety of seed beading items including: holiday ornament swags, beaded cowls, earrings, pen covers, buttons, needle holder key rings, bracelets and beaded embroidery items.

Rosemary's custom beaded items can be found throughout the Valley, including at Sheldon Air Service in Talkeetna, at NonEssentials in Palmer, at many upcoming holiday bazaars, and at Monday Market in the Historic Palmer Depot on Mondays, 11:30am-6pm.

Rosemary also take special orders and teaches private beading lessons as well as offering her beading for sale at Monday Market. Stop by Monday Market and introduce yourself to Rosemary and her intricate artistic beading. You will be enriched for this experience.

Remember that Monday Market is open each Monday through December 17, 2018 (except November 5th) and continues in 2019. For the holiday season, we also have several new vendors offering seasonal gift items. We look forward to your visiting the Monday Market.
