Hello Alaskans!

It's time for a leadership change, and we need people with the right skill sets!

Look for 1) proven leadership accomplishments, 2) business acumen, 3) budget expertise, 4) management abilities, 5) communication skills!  And yes, listening skills and respectfulness are a "must have".

Does "past performance indicate future success"? Yes! Of course! And there are more variables: One must look to the future and adapt - plan, have a vision! And it certainly helps to have that "enough is enough" decision point.

Keep going! What is your legislator's voting record? There are websites that have quick views of the bills they voted on - the score and the good and bad. Checkout their "report card" at:

The Young Voter: I urge you to be a critical thinker and prepare to vote. I especially urge you to educate and encourage our new voters to register and vote in both the primary and general elections. Our young people and many others need assistance in 1) finding their poll, 2) learning their voting options and understanding what's on the ballot and 3) the impact that the election will have on issues they may care about.

For example, my 25-year-old daughter is busy working and going to school and has always asked for my direction on voting; it can be daunting with so much information out there. Sissy Singer knows I always give her the “one right answer”!

The primary election is on August 21st and the general election is on November 6, 2018.
