Raku
April 27th – 11AM to 3PM
Join us for Raku which is a participatory ceramic firing process! Pick a ceramic pot (ranging $25-$50 each) or two, glaze the pieces and watch as kiln temperature reaches 1900 degrees in 20 minutes; red hot pots are removed from the kiln, put in buckets with newspaper which ignites the paper and a lid smothers the fire, causing the air-starved-flame to take oxygen out of the glaze, creating beautiful iridescent glazes. Pots are removed from the buckets, plunged into water for finishing and ready to go home! This event will be on a walk-in basis Saturday, April 27th between 11am-3pm!

Free Caricature Drawing!
April 27th – 11AM to 3PM
Mariah Johnson, a seasoned caricature artist, will be at The Art Cafe AK on Saturday April 27th between 11am-3pm to draw a caricature drawing of you or you and your friends! This will be on a first come first serve basis!
