Christmas Is Near: Continuing the Legacy of Joy and Giving
As the festive season approaches, the spirit of Christmas shines brighter in our community. Thirty-four years ago, two gentlemen embarked on a heartfelt mission: to share the joy of Christmas with their neighbors. Their simple act of kindness blossomed into an enduring tradition, bringing warmth, fellowship, and hope to countless local families.
This Christmas, we invite you to be part of this cherished legacy. On December 25th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the doors of the Menard Center will open wide to everyone in our community. Whether you’re seeking a delicious meal, meaningful conversation, or simply a place to celebrate the holiday, all are welcome—no one is a stranger at our table.
Eat, Fellowship, and Volunteer
The tradition started with two caring community members helping others, and it continues today with the generous support of volunteers and donors. If you have a few hours to spare on December 23, 24 or Christmas Day, consider joining our team of volunteers; go to Christmasfriendshipdinner.com and sign up were your gifts and talents can best be used. From serving food to sharing a smile, every act of kindness makes a difference. If you’d rather simply enjoy the company of others and the festive atmosphere, we encourage you to come, eat, and celebrate with us.
A Community That Cares
Christmas is more than gifts and decorations—it’s about coming together, lifting each other up, and showing that every person matters. At Christmas Friendship Dinner, Inc, we strive to embody these values, continuing the tradition of helping our neighbors that began more than three decades ago.
Whether you’re new to town or have attended for years, your presence adds to the tapestry of compassion that defines our community. Let’s celebrate this Christmas with open hearts, generous hands, and a spirit of fellowship that carries on the legacy of those two gentlemen who believed in the power of kindness.
