Lifeline Outreach: A Mission of Hope, Healing & Empowerment in Alaska

In 2001, Dr. Maria Krinock saw two urgent crises gripping Alaska’s remote communities: rising food costs and a growing wave of suicide. Determined to respond, she founded Lifeline Outreach, a faith-based initiative that blends humanitarian aid with suicide prevention. What began as one woman’s vision has grown into a lifeline for communities across the state.

Her desire was to create a program that would meet both physical, emotional and spiritual needs with compassion and faith.  That program is Feeding Alaska Today, food for spirit, soul and body.

Through Dr. Maria’s book, Your Unseen Enemy Revealed, she uses her own story of how she was abducted at knife point and how that traumatic experience opened a devastating spiritual door that led to a gun at her head.  This book is currently circulated in over 50+ remote communities today.

“It’s clear that more people than ever are struggling with mental health challenges. Real solutions exist, but lasting freedom comes only when these issues are addressed at their spiritual root.”  ~Dr. Maria Krinock

Through the program Feeding Alaska Today, Dr. Maria holds soul-winning “Blessing

Outreaches” that combine healthy food distributions (fresh produce from Alaska farmers) and her overcoming story from suicide, addiction, and depression to freedom.

A single mother of four children shared that a simple door hanger from a Blessing Outreach ultimately saved her life. After attending the gathering and receiving prayer, she said every suicidal thought was lifted. Another testified to being freed from tormenting voices during a prayer service. Together, these accounts reflect the program’s deep commitment to restoring hope and dignity for those facing despair and hopelessness.

Over the years, Lifeline Outreach has extended its reach from the top of the world, Utqiagvik all the way to Angoon with several remote communities in-between. Each gathering reinforces the message that empowerment and healing are possible.

Lifeline Outreach continues to rely on the generosity of donors and volunteers. Contributions fund food distribution and outreach programs, while volunteers extend the mission into villages and city streets. The organization embodies the principle that “Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing” (Proverbs 28:27), reminding Alaskans that small acts of kindness can ripple into life-changing impact.
