Neighborly Light (A Christmas Carol)
Contributed by Nan Potts
At Christmastide when snow dost fall
There sparks a sign that’s seen by all,
That’s season’s end is come to pass
Which fill the heart of lad and lass.
And with the snow the darkness wanes
For there are lights, warm from panes,
Lighting the place that we call home
Tell us to rest instead of roam.
So we heed this neighborly light
We’re beckoned in and stay this night,
With loving friends and family, round
To celebrate Christ’s birth, abound.
With neighbors true and full of love
We give our thanks to God above.
To all our friends and those brand new,
Our love we send, including you.
