Help Those in Our Care Find Freedom from Substance Abuse and Mental and Behavioral Health Disorders

I am writing to ask for a special year-end gift to help those in our care find freedom from substance abuse and mental and behavioral health disorders.
As you know, these disorders are only on the rise. They have been described as a natural disaster in the state of Alaska in terms of their devastating effects on families and communities. For some of the folks we serve, we see the urgency of this as life-or-death matter.
The good news is that you can help! In the first part of 2026 we are prioritizing building partnerships with groups across the Kenai Peninsula with the vision of launching outpatient services in Soldotna next summer.
That’s why I’m writing to ask you for a gift to help those at risk come out of the darkness of these disorders to find freedom in the light of God’s power and love.
We are aiming to raise $10,000 by midnight, December 31st. Your gift today will enable us to start our work in early 2026 towards bringing hope, healing, and resilience to people in the greater Soldotna area.
Additionally, your support will help us utilize the expansion in the Kenai Peninsula as a testing ground to reach the more rural parts of Alaska over the next 3-5 years!
Let me share one recent success story with you:
Chase, one of our graduates from “Compass”, our men’s residential treatment center in Homer, was at rock bottom and had no hope for freedom from his drug addiction. Upon receiving treatment and successful graduation, he is now a wonderful father and reunited with his two teenaged daughters. He also has started his own construction business called “Give Me a Break” construction. He employs current and graduated clients, giving them trade skills and setting them up for success for life after treatment!
All gifts received by midnight, December 31st will enable our clients - like Chase - to have a loving, judgement-free and safe space to recover and get the care they need from our master’s level clinicians and world-class staff.
For most of you, our mission hits very close to home, personally or with others you love. Your support this month will help more Alaskans find hope, healing and lasting freedom as they discover and demonstrate their God-given potential and thrive in every area of their lives.
Many Blessings
