Human touch is a basic, primal human need, and prolonged absence thereof can produce physical, and spiritual disease. This need is often ignored, because our addiction to smart-phones and social media (which is also a disease) is so strong that there is no time left for human touch.
Touch-deprivation, in addition to un-healthy diets, chronic stress, smoking, drug & alcohol addiction, and lack of aerobic exercise contributes to a diseased state.
