Adopt Macadamia

I am a silly ball of energy with short legs that get me places quickly. At about a year old, I am moderately playful but especially like toys I can chase. I’m not entirely convinced that brushes are not toys but seem to enjoy being brushed if you catch me in a calm moment. While my long, soft hair and swishing feather-duster tail are a siren’s call to be pet, I am very particular about it.
Other than a quick pet of the tail while walking, because it’s always up in the air, I only like being pet when I’m calmly relaxing. I am firm but gentle with my boundaries and clearly communicate when I’m done with attention. For this reason, I will do best in a home that does not have small children. Additionally, I do not like being held but don’t squirm too hard if you know how to hold me right. I am curious about what humans are doing and follow people from room to room. I even warm up to visitors quickly.
I would do best in a home that has another moderately playful cat. I’m not sure about dogs but would probably do fine with a mellow dog that will respect my space. I will need a safe, fun yard to enjoy sunny summer days once I am bonded and feeling comfortable with my new family.
