Wiz Khalifa Set to Light Up Fair’s 2025 Concert Series

Multi-platinum selling artist Wiz Khalifa will light up the stage at the 2025 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series, performing at the Alaska State Fair on Sunday, August 24, at 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow, Friday, April 25, at 10 a.m. AKDT at alaskastatefair.org.

The Grammy and Golden Globe-nominated rapper, singer and songwriter burst onto the mainstream scene with his 2011 debut studio album Rolling Papers, which included the smash singles “Black and Yellow,” “Roll Up” and “No Sleep.” The album earned him “Best New Artist” at the 2011 BET Awards and “Top New Artist” at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. “Black and Yellow” also brought in his first two Grammy nominations.

He followed with O.N.I.F.C. in 2012, featuring hits like “Work Hard, Play Hard” and “Remember You” with The Weeknd, and then Blacc Hollywood in 2014, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and included the anthem “We Dem Boyz.” In 2015, his track “See You Again” from the Furious 7 soundtrack became a global hit, reaching #1 in 95 countries and earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song. Wiz’s latest album, Kush + Orange Juice 2, dropped in April 2025.

Tickets to the show go on sale at 10 a.m. AKDT tomorrow, Friday, April 24, at alaskastatefair.org. Wiz joins the previously announced acts: Medium Build on August 15, Rainbow Kitten Surprise on August 16, “Weird Al” Yankovic on August 17, Chris Tomlin on August 18, Mastodon on August 22, Billy Currington on August 23, Sean Paul on August 28,  and Foreigner on August 30.

Concert-goers have the option to purchase concert-only tickets or tickets including Fair admission. The included admission is at a discounted price and is good for the day of the concert only. Concert tickets including Fair admission must be purchased by August 14. Details on ticket options and pricing are available on the Fair website. Convenience fees apply to all online concert ticket purchases.
