Press Release
The board of the Alaska Outdoor Access Alliance (AOAA) has voted to endorse Adam Crum for State Senate seat F, which includes Palmer, Butte, Fairview, Eklutna and Peters Creek.
Adam Crum is running in the Republican primary election, which is August 16.
AOAA President Mel Grove said “We believe that Adam is the most qualified candidate in the race to protect and expand our rights to use ATV’s, snow machines, watercraft and other off-road vehicles on public lands and waters.”
AOAA is an association dedicated to maintaining and expanding motorized access on statewide public lands and waters. They were instrumental in the creation of the Knik River Public Use Area.
Candidate Crum, a lifelong ATV rider and snowmachiner said, “The bureaucrats want to close public land, but I’ll fight to keep them open. I have a record of getting things done, not just talking.” Crum added that with more restrictions on federal land, access to state land is going to be a key issue in the future.
Mel Grove listed re-opening the Rex Trail to traditional use and preserving public access in the Matanuska River and Susitna Valley as top priorities.
