Call For Entries For 16th Annual Anchorage International Film Festival

The Anchorage International Film Festival (AIFF) is now in the regular submission period for entries into the 16th annual celebration of independent films, filmmakers and screenwriters to be held in Anchorage from December 2-11, 2016. AIFF programming teams are seeking features, documentaries, short films, animation and films made in Alaska for our on-screen competitions. In addition to films, organizers of AIFF are pleased to announce a new screenplay category, open for competition to finished scripts from 65 to 125 pages!

This annual celebration of independent films in Alaska highlights the best of new work from emerging filmmakers from the 49th State and around the world, hosted in venues like the Bear Tooth Theatre and Pub, the Anchorage Museum, the 49th State Brewing Company and the Alaska Experience Theatre. The ten day festival includes screenings with live Q & A with filmmakers, panels and workshops and other special events, championing the creative work of filmmakers and writers from Alaska and the world at large.

Regular submission deadline ends August 12, the extended deadline August 26 and the final deadline for submission closes September 5, 2016.
