Alaska Works Partnership/Mat-Su Construction Academy is a non-profit organization funded by the Alaska Department of Labor & Workforce Development. We host a number of FREE construction-related, basic training classes that provide the participant with hands-on training that enables them to become more employable in the construction workforce. There is no cost to participate in our classes, but you do have to apply online and be selected; the volume of applications far outweigh the amount of participants we can place in each class.

An applicant must complete the Work Keys (math) test at a level 3 to be eligible to receive our Certificate of Training Completion. The Work Keys testing can be completed at the Mat-Su Job Center or Nine Star. We train, generally, from September to May of each fiscal year.
