“No one understands my pain.” A common statement given by many patients at a pain management clinic. I agree wholeheartedly; your pain is derived from your unique life experiences. No one has your experiences and therefore, no one can understand your pain.
Although, I cannot understand your pain, I can help you understand pain. Understanding the purpose and process of pain gives chronic pain clients an escape-hatch out of the chronic pain cycle of exhaustion, weight gain, inactivity, anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. Living & Moving offers instruction on the science behind chronic pain, and the many lifestyle factors that contribute to it.
We help people to self-assess their activities of daily living and suggest adjustments to make these activities more beneficial to overall wellness. We don’t add demands to an already exhaustive life; together, we make positive lifestyle changes that result in small victories! Living & Moving has a Christian perspective that provides resources and encourages an effective care provider team. It does not provide professional diagnosis or treatment.
I have not met a person yet that disagrees with the concept that improving overall wellness will result in a better quality of daily life. A client that has improved their activities of daily living, (to include their thoughts), will experience more comfort, energy and peace of mind. In fact, patients that have completed the program and found success respond with, “Why hasn’t anyone ever told me this?” Well, I’m telling you now… and the ball is in your court.
