UAF Cooperative Extension Centennial Celebration

Contributed by Melissa Clampitt

UAF and the Cooperative Extension are celebrating a big birthday! 100 years! Many people are unfamiliar with the Cooperative Extension Service, so we thought we would have a centennial celebration and let the public see why we have been around for 100 years.

Join us the third Thursday of every month throughout 2017 as one of our Extension agents teaches on relevant topics such as wild edibles, birch tapping, and more. Each event begins at 6pm and will be held at the Matanuska Experiment Farm.

With little to no cost, it’s a great way to spend an hour or two one evening a month! These classes are family friendly.
