Astrology as Connection, Curiosity & Cosmic Timing

Astrology as Connection, Curiosity & Cosmic Timing

Contributed by Carrie Bowell

Ever feel like the energy’s just…weird? Or unexpectedly in sync? Maybe your phone dies during a difficult conversation, or you wake at 3AM with a head full of questions. We toss around phrases like “Mercury’s in retrograde” or glance at our horoscopes for fun, but astrology—when treated with curiosity—can be something more. A map of timing, a language of pattern, a mirror—and sometimes, a surprising source of comfort.

Astrology doesn’t pretend to fix things (and neither do I). What it can do is help name what you already feel but haven’t said out loud.

Like:
 — What’s pulling your focus lately?
 — What’s ready to change, even if it’s slow and strange?
 — Where are your energy reserves strongest right now?
 — How might collective movements in the sky mirror what’s shifting in our communities, our families, our hearts?

Right now, we’ve got Jupiter lighting a match under creative ideas, while Saturn’s backpedaling through Pisces, nudging us to explore what “structure” really means in a messy, mystical, innately physical world. These movements don’t make things happen—but they do have rhythm. Like tides or tempo shifts, they can point to where we’re being stretched or softened. And sometimes, just knowing that there’s a larger movement happening is enough to exhale.

To me, astrology isn’t about knowing what’s next—it’s about noticing what’s now. The friction, the clarity, the questions that keep showing up. Not to label them. To be in conversation. To remember that you’re part of something vast and beautiful—and that the questions you’re holding have echoes in the stars.

So here’s my invitation: If something in you perks up when you hear the word “astrology,” follow it. Not to get answers, but to find new ways of asking. I’d love to talk about it with you.
