“One of the best villain origin stories I’ve ever come across.”-MLC, Editor in NYC

Woe to those who cross the path of a god, for the divine herald tragedy.

Nikko, a good-for-nothing Prince of Zeus’ Holy City, finds himself in the middle of peace negotiations. He’s given the task of appeasing Heracles’ emissary, but how can he follow the King’s orders while his sister Jada prepares to pay the ultimate price to end Ehvara’s bloodshed?

Eimear, a young girl from a remote fishing village, is chosen to champion a goddess in Heracles’ war against Zeus. Taken from her home and sold into slavery, it’s a battle of endurance for her to survive the sadistic conditions as she tries to harness the magic gifted to her by Metis. Throughout her suffering, Eimear fights to keep her humanity intact as rage threatens to consume her. Little does she know, tranquility is found best in the dark.”

Giving Up Elysium is a gut-wrenching epic woven with Greek mythology that transcends space and time. The story is sprinkled with strange humor, filled with multi-dimensional characters, and bound by light. Ultimately, Giving Up Elysium is a tale of hope that leads to new beginnings.

About the Author:

W.B. Clark is originally from small-town Oklahoma, mostly raised on a farm full of chickens and then partially on a commercial fishing boat in Alaska. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2015, then moved to some big cities, where life happened. At some point she finally got a job that paid her bills but then quit that job to write books, illustrate, and paint pretty pictures. She now lives in Alaska full-time writing stories that have no end. W.B. Clark swears often, plays random instruments poorly, sings, and often finds adventure in the mundane. She likes to go on long walks, camp, scuba dive, and start complex projects, she knows little to nothing about. She loves breakfast, conversations that spark joy, and hearing other people's stories.
