“You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing.” Every child deserves a safe place to call home.

Right now, children in Alaska need caring adults who are willing to open their hearts and provide safety, stability, and hope. If you’ve ever wondered whether fostering might be right for you, we invite you to join us for a relaxed, no-obligation question-and-answer gathering.

This informal meeting is designed for anyone who is curious about foster care and wants honest answers in a welcoming environment. There is no commitment required, just an opportunity to learn.

Let’s Talk About Foster Care will be held Friday, June 26, at 6 p.m. at REACH 907, 7331 E. Palmer-Wasilla Highway, Palmer, Alaska 99645.

During the meeting, you will learn about the need for foster families in our community, explore what it means to become a foster parent, understand training requirements and the licensing process, discover what the journey ahead looks like, meet members of the REACH 907 team, ask questions and get real answers about what fostering is truly like, and learn how you can make a lasting difference in a child’s life.

Whether you are simply exploring the idea or ready to take the next step, our team is here to listen, support, and walk alongside you.

If you are unable to attend but would like to learn more, complete the Foster Care Interest Form at reach907ak.org or call 907-745-6200.

One conversation could change a child’s future, and perhaps your own.

We look forward to meeting you.
